Dressing and Undressing

At our Liverpool day nursery we will continue to spend some time with the children helping them to get dressed and undressed. It is important that we do as much as we can to prepare the children for their move to school.

Part of being in school is self-care, being able to get undressed and dressed for P.E for e.g. is important, and gives our children the confidence to do this before they have to do it in school.

This is also part of the Foundation Stage that we follow in nursery:-

Health and Self-Care

• Beginning to be independent in self-care with adult help
• Dresses with help, puts arms into open fronted coat, pulls up own trousers, etc.
