Our Staff

Sue Smith Nursery Manager Qualifications-N.N.E.B. and N.V.Q. 4. City & Guilds Level 3 Safeguarding Children and Young People. Started at Rockbourne Day Nursery – May 2003 June 2004 – Deputy Manager at Rockbourne Day Nursery. Started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery – October 2005. Sue was deputy manager and took over the role of manager, in 2010 to cover maternity leave. Sue was offered the Managers position in 2011.

Kerrie Lomas Deputy Manager Qualifications N.V.Q. Level 4 Nursery Nurse Started at Rockbourne Day Nursery in 2003-2008, Kerrie completed her N.V.Q. Level 2 and 3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development. Kerrie completed her N.V.Q. Level 4 in January 2011. In the autumn of 2011 Kerrie came to work at Childwall Valley Day Nursery, as acting Deputy Manager to cover staff maternity leave. During Kerrie’s time at Rockbourne Day Nursery she has completed a course in Level 2 Team Leading which she achieved in 2009. Kerrie has had experience as room leader.

Claire King – based in the Baby Room N.V.Q. Level 3 Nursery Nurse Room Leader 0-2 Claire started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery in 2007, and completed her level 2 Apprenticeship in Children’s Care, Learning and Development in November 2008. Completed Advanced Apprenticeship in November 2010. Claire is now Room Leader in the 0-2 room.

Stephanie Ryan – Based in the Baby Room N.V.Q. Level 3 Nursery Nurse Steph started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery in 2005, and completed her level 2 in Children’s Care and Development in 2006. Steph completed her Advanced Apprenticeship in 2007. Steph is at present in the 0-2 room, and has recently had a little girl herself.

Pat O’Hara – Based in the Baby Room N.V.Q. Level 3 Nursery Nurse Pat started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery in 2004, and completed her Advanced Apprenticeship in Early Years Care & Education in 2002. Pat has worked in all of our rooms within the setting she is currently in the baby room.

Samantha Allen – Based in the Baby Room N.V.Q. Level 3 Nursery Nurse Sam started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery in 2010, and completed her level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development in 2010. Her Advanced Apprenticeship was completed in 2012. Sam is currently working in the 0-2 room.

Sarah Waring – Based in the Toddler Room N.V.Q. Level 3 Nursery Nurse Sarah started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery in 2008, and completed her level 2 Apprenticeship in Children’s Care, Learning and Development in 2009. Sarah Completed her Advanced Apprenticeship in 2010. Sarah is a mum herself, and is currently in toddler room.

Heather Smith – Based in the Toddler Room N.V.Q. Level 3 Nursery Nurse Heather started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery in 2005, and completed her level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development in 2005. Heather completed her Advanced Apprenticeship in 2009. Heather is a mum of two children, as is currently working in the toddler room.

Danielle White – Based in the Toddler Room N.V.Q. Level 3 Nursery Nurse Behaviour Management Co-Ordinator Nursery Supervisor Danielle started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery in 2006, and completed her level 2 in Children’s Care Learning and Development in 2007. Danielle completed her Advanced Apprenticeship in 2008. Danielle is currently working in the toddler room.

Laura Fryer – Based in the Toddler Room N.V.Q. Level 3 Nursery Nurse Room Leader Pre-school Laura started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery in 2008, and completed her level 2 Apprenticeship in Children’s Care Learning and Development in 2009. Laura completed her Advanced Apprenticeship in June 2011. Laura is also the nursery’s, Equality Named Co-ordinator.

Joanne Forsyth Cook Joanne started at Childwall Valley Day Nursery in 2008. Joanne is are nursery cook, she is responsible for nursery menu’s, food ordering and cooking, which is all prepared on site.
