Liverpool Day Nursery Pre Schoolers

In the pre-school building there is the main reception area used by the management team, two large rooms which pre-school use, children’s toilets, and entrance into our Liverpool day nursery.

Pre-school use two large rooms, one of which is used for art and messy play activities. This room is also used for meals and snack times and has tables set out. The other room has many different areas, music and sound area, role play, quiet area with books and puppets. Construction area and lots of carpeted areas for floor activities. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage for all our children.

Pre-school is an important phase of development for children, and it is also where we prepare children for school.

Our staff have an up to date knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We constantly attend training sessions to keep our knowledge current.

Children in pre-school are encouraged to follow their own interests and this is helped by providing materials and resources, with everything within easy reach for the children to access and make their own choices.

In pre-school we encourage adult-led and child-led activities with emphasis on creative and critical thinking, active learning and playing and exploring. Through this our children will learn, personal, emotional and social skills, communication and language, and physical skills. Our staff work hard to make this important transition period into school as easy and enjoyable as possible.
